In many ways photogrpahy does not only confine in still image-making, moving images are in fact also photographic, where its moving impression is precisely triggered off by a rapid and uninteruppted sequence of discrete photographic images that makes it seem to be moving. Interweaving the notion that the photographically captured subject is of little importance to which the nuanced details of the surface emerge visually as an obstruction between the content and viewer, Surfacing II (2022) is further expanded into moving images which repeatedly ushers the viewer into a search for the fragments of what have been accumulated on the film by breaking down in the form of typology and physical object.
