Navigating towards a sense of origin and materiality in photography, Untitled (2023) is a transitory work that inhabits the space and morphs itself into a field of Prussian blue as time wears on. Without fixing the light-sensitive emulsion, the photogram becomes an object which has transmuted itself into a perishable event that is in direct and constant contact with the ambient environment. Not only does the transition on the surface highlights and intensifies the presence of the place, the withdrawal of imprinted subject has also stripped photography away from its archetypal function to retain a captured moment, the time-based photographic reading therefore subverts the common reception of photography as a completed and permanent piece.
